*So* Great

It was *so* great. SO great. The Opening Reception for my first photography show (with the talented Sarah Gervais) this past Friday was truly one of the best experiences of my life. I felt incredibly happy and alive. From the moment the doors opened at 5:30pm, people filled the gallery. Friends, neighbors, colleagues, students, and even STRANGERS came to see our photography! For 2.5 hours, we had a packed house of folks taking in our creative work. It felt fantastic to share some of my very favorite photographs, enlarged and all dressed up in their mats and frames. I felt proud of my work. I felt an internal alignment, a type of synergy, a resounding “yes.” It was as if I could start to really believe I am on my true path of expressing myself and listening to my artistic desires.

As if all that positivity and juicy goodness wasn’t enough, I sold some of my work! I was beyond excited and even more grateful. It makes me happy thinking about those photographs living in someone else’s home, bringing them some joy. The notecards that I gave you a sneak peek of last week were also a big hit. Like I said, *so* great!
